Missions

Okay, although this part is called "Missions", here has only ever been one mission to Uranus: Voyager 2. Launched in 1977, Voyager 2 was tasked with exploring the planets of the outer Solar System. It reached Uranus in 1986, giving scientists at NASA plenty of data to look at and study. It also helped them discover then-unknown moons and rings. As for why Uranus has not been visited so frquently, the planet is so far from Earth that getting there would take years of floating trough space, not to mention the preparations and expenses to manage it all! Maybe it's best that we stick to a closer planet to visit, like Mars.
