Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. It was named after the Greek god of the sky, as opposed to the other planets that were named after Roman gods. It is one of the giant planets alongside Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune.
Uranus is so far from the Sun and it lacks internal heat. Its distance from the Sun means that it does not get much heat. It is also cold in its core, unlike other giant planets.
It rotates sidways to the other planets! No one knows how this happened, but one popular theory is that it was hit by some large object billions of years ago.
